PGX- PolyGlycoplex (Fiber)

I found it has helped me tremendously controlling my blood sugar issues.

I personal found just one scoop of the PGX Slim Style was all I need. Once a day.
I combined it with a full glass of 1% organic milk. Then immediately poured myself a glass of water so I wouldn’t forget to drink the 12 oz of water with in an hour of taking the PGX. Drinking the water is EXTREMELY important so you don’t get constipated.

I found that I was not hungry and during the times of day that I normally would nose dive and feel my sugar drop I was not having that issue :)

When I am on the go I will take the PGX tablets which are very convenient. Again make sure you take plenty of water during swallowing the tablets so they don’t expand in your throat, and then a 12 oz glass of water immediately afterwards.

According to Dr. Murray this fiber is like no other fiber as it is 600 times more beneficial in helping control blood sugar.

My son also takes the SlimStyle after working out as it also contains 25 g of protein. This is much better for you then those body building drinks on the market.

My Dad takes it for his diabetes, and is finding great results.

My girlfriend doesn’t need to lose weight but is taking it for her hypoglycemia and is finding great results also.

Read below to more detail about PGX and also listen to the Audio File.

Here is a audio file to learn more about PBX and how it has a great effect on glucose stabilization.

How it Works

PGX is not a diet. It helps with weight management by helping control appetite and calorie intake. It comes in new PGX Daily softgel capsules, in delicious powdered meal replacement mixes and in no-flavour granules that can be added to moist foods.

  • Mix up a delicious PGX shake and have it for breakfast, and/or lunch each day.
  • Take PGX Daily or single serving packets of PGX granules with you to the office, school or any time you’re eating out.
  • Sprinkle PGX granules on any moist food (soups, sauces, even salads or pizza!) and eat as you normally would – you’ll feel full after eating less. Remember to drink PLENTY of water to ensure the PGX has enough moisture to expand.
  • • PGX can even be baked into muffins and breads or made into a tasty pudding.

Whatever form of PGX you choose, you can incorporate this health supporting supplement into your lifestyle easily and quickly. So start NOW to stop the cravings and reduce the hunger that are making you fat.

(PGX) PolyGlycoplex is a proprietary blend of natural viscous, non-starch polysaccharides that act synergistically to develop a higher level of viscosity than other dietary viscous fibres known. This blend forms a unique gel matrix that moves slowly through the gastrointestinal tract. Unlike many fibre-containing natural health products, PGX does not lose its gel-like viscosity in the acidic environment of the stomach or the alkaline intestinal environment.

The effectiveness of fibre on reducing appetite, blood sugar, and cholesterol is well known and is directly proportionate to the amount of water the fibre is able to absorb (water holding capacity) and the degree of thickness or viscosity it develops in the stomach and intestine. For instance, oat bran lowers cholesterol and controls blood sugar better gram for gram than wheat bran because it absorbs more water. PGX combines several fibres that work synergistically to multiply each others’ effects and exert health effects equivalent to much larger quantities of any other fibres.

PGX is the most viscous and soluble fibre ever discovered. With its higher level of viscosity and extraordinary gel-forming properties, PGX is able to absorb hundreds of times its weight in water, resulting in a volume and viscosity three to five times greater than other highly soluble fibres like psyllium or oat beta glucan. A five gram serving of PGX in a meal replacement formula, or on its own, produces a volume and viscosity equal to as much as 20 grams of some other fibres , or 4 bowls of oat bran! Small quantities of PGX can be added to foods or taken before meals to have an impact on appetite and blood sugar.

The Mechanical Benefits

Viscous foods move slowly through the digestive system, delaying absorption of nutrients and sugars into the blood, thereby moderating blood sugar levels. With PGX added to your meal, glucose levels rise more slowly as nutrients are absorbed more slowly. This means that when PGX is taken before meals, it slows the rate at which the food is broken down into glucose. This eliminates the blood sugar roller-coaster effect and improves the body’s use of insulin.

Pre-Biotic Effects

In the colon, PGX is highly “prebiotic” – that means it promotes the growth of healthy bacteria and the production of short chain fatty acids (SCFA); substances that are vitally important to colon health. In the intestines PGX helps increase production of bifidobacteria, while suppressing the growth of undesirable microbes, such as Candida albicans, and lowering stool pH. It may also help decrease production of cholesterol and free fatty acids. As a viscous polysaccharide, PGX also increases excretion of bile acids, an action that helps lower blood cholesterol levels.
