Is your QuickBooks version compatible with Internet Explorer 7?
QuickBooks Simple Start, Basic, Pro, Premier, and Enterprise
- QuickBooks 2007 and Enterprise 7.0: Compatible with Internet Explorer 7.
- QuickBooks 2006 and Enterprise 6.0: Compatible with Internet Explorer 7 after installing free Product Update.
- QuickBooks 2005 and Enterprise 5.0: Currently requires Internet Explorer 6 and is not compatible with Internet Explorer 7. To continue to use QuickBooks 2005, do not upgrade to Internet Explorer 7. If you have already upgraded to Internet Explorer 7, we recommend that you revert to Internet Explorer 6. We are working on an update to QuickBooks 2005 to make it compatible with Internet Explorer 7. Check back regularly to the Internet Explorer 7 Resource Center for update information.
- QuickBooks 2004 and Enterprise 4.0 or earlier: Requires Internet Explorer 6 and is not compatible with Internet Explorer 7. To continue to use these older versions of QuickBooks without interruption, do not upgrade to Internet Explorer 7. If you have already upgraded to Internet Explorer 7, we recommend that you revert to Internet Explorer 6.
Payroll
- Standard, Enhanced, and Assisted Payroll: Update your QuickBooks financial software program with the most recent Product Update.
- Enhanced and Assisted Payroll Plus: You will be receiving upgrades to QuickBooks 2007 Financial Software in October or November. Please wait until you have received and installed QuickBooks 2007 to upgrade to Internet Explorer 7.
- Premier and Complete Payroll (including those use Web Entry or GL Download): Testing has shown that upgrading to Internet Explorer 7 should not cause any impact to your payroll submissions. However, in the event you experience any issues, we recommend that you revert to Internet Explorer 6.
- QuickPayroll: Testing has shown that upgrading to Internet Explorer 7 should not cause any impact to your payroll submissions. However, in the event you experience any issues, we recommend that you revert to Internet Explorer 6.
Merchant Services
- Merchant Services 2006: No known issues with Internet Explorer 7 exist. However, you will still need to update your QuickBooks 2006 Financial Software with the most recent free Product Update.
- Various applications within 2004 and 2005 Merchant Services are not compatible with Internet Explorer 7. These applications will be fixed by mid-November. However, because your QuickBooks 2004 and 2005 Financial Software will still be affected, follow the instructions listed previously for your QuickBooks 2004 and 2005 Financial Software. Call 1-800-558-9558 if you need Merchant Services help.
- Billing Solutions: Some features might be affected by upgrading to Internet Explorer 7. However, because your QuickBooks Financial Software will also be affected as described previously, follow these instructions for your QuickBooks Financial Software. If this does not correct the issue, call 1-800-558-9558 for Merchant Services help.
Point of Sale
- QuickBooks Point of Sale 4.0 through 6.0: Compatible with Internet Explorer 7.
- Point of Sale 3.0: Works with Internet Explorer 7.0, but in rare cases, the browser might not display screens correctly. If this occurs, we recommend that you revert to Internet Explorer 6.
- Point of Sale 2.0 or earlier: We do not recommend upgrading to Internet Explorer 7. If you have already upgraded to Internet Explorer 7, we recommend that you revert to Internet Explorer 6.
Other QuickBooks Programs
- QuickBooks Customer Manager: No known issues with Internet Explorer 7. Please report any problems by calling 1-877-480-0129.
- Invoice Manager 2006 and Credit Card Processing Kit 2.0: Install the most recent free Product Update.
- Credit Card Processing Kit 1.0: No known issues.
